أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted? (67:14)

Brother Ismail leaves Islam

Brother Ismail, Muslim for 16 years left Islam. Over the years he did his best to be faithful or loyal to Islam. He took his islamic faith very seriously. Anytime he found an issue controversial or problematic he did his best to research it and follow it. He was committed to it. He found that he is no longer able to defend the Quran and Prophet Muhammad’s morals and conduct. Like for example being able to sleep with a woman already married if she is captured as your slave. (4:24)

Ismail is a Christian now

Nasty creatures

When we look at the harsh world, when we observe creatures such as insects and animals, it is really a dog eat dog world. It’s a harsh nasty world out there where animals will main and kill each other to survive.  Charles Darwin on his process of discovery ran into this as well and it confused him.

I cannot persuade myself that a beneficent & omnipotent God would have designedly created the Ichneumonidae with the express intention of their feeding within the living bodies of caterpillars, or that a cat should play with mice. — Charles Darwin

Here is a picture of the wasp he was referring to:

To understand, these wasps larvae develop inside the living animal and eat it from the inside alive.  It’s quite disturbing.

As a friend Hassan Radwan said,

God started with a blank page. He decided that he’d create creatures that need to bite, chew & digest stuff to stay alive. He then decided that what they need to bite, chew and digest is *each other*. It seems twisted to me. If I had unlimited powers and I was going to create a world of creatures I definitely wouldn’t make them die if they don’t eat each other.

I agree. I would have opted for less blood and gore.  The animal kingdom is so gruesome.  Most of it seems so unnecessary and horrible.
Of course there is a perfectly good explanation for all this.  God did not design it in such a way.  It simply evolved this way.  There is a lot of good evidence for evolution.

Islam, Biological Evolution, and Adam

As a Muslim, I used to think evolution was a farce.  I never looked into it and believed Harun Yahya’s propaganda wholeheartedly that it was a materialistic conspiracy.  After leaving Islam I decided to take an honest look at it again, and the evidence is overwhelming and clear that evolution is real.  This post describes the evidence from Muslim scholars and scientists to prove without a shadow of a doubt that the theory of evolution is accurate and true.
