Why am I posting these things?

Just like you guys care about me, I care about you guys. If the religion you were following was not true, would you want all your friends struggling their entire lives to follow it? If you really cared about them, you would do what I am doing. Otherwise I could just selfishly keep to myself and be at peace…

What have I gained?

Every time I say something publicly, I am putting myself up on a platform for people to throw eggs and tomatoes at me.. and they do. Just imagine how difficult that must be. Putting your personal identity up for people to attack and criticize.  And sometimes when i make an incorrect point.. everyone gets to see me fail. Everyone gets to see me being mistaken or proven wrong.

This is a very lonely path I am walking.

You are not alone

There’s another big reason.  Some people can’t even imagine that someone can leave Islam. After starting this blog, I have met a bunch of people who are closeted ex-muslims.  I want to be open so people can see that you CAN leave Islam, and that there are others who are thinking just like you

The Islamic State

This is another big reason. I never want to see the re-establishment of Islamic theocracy in this world.  The reason this would be awful is that we will be returning to a world where people like me can be murdered for publicly disagreeing with Islam.
