According to The Pew Research, Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world – more than twice as fast as the overall global population. Between 2015 and 2060, the world’s inhabitants are expected to increase by 32%, but the Muslim population is forecast to grow by 70%.

We can never take for granted that fundamentalism will go away. If you don’t want your world to be one that is dominated by shariah law, or one where your kids are influenced by religious theocrats, where homosexuality is a crime or that music is sinful, join the fight. We want to make this a world where questioning Islam is acceptable. Where Muslim children realize that there are people who have left the religion and are able to question themselves.

What’s the game like?

We are competing on an uneven playing field. Religious institutions get billions of dollars and tax deductible support. Yet it’s often the small and nimble that are able to make the most impact. Your support at the ground will have the most results.

Why Become a Supporter?

Go back to when I first came out and created my blog. I remember getting a message from a young teenager in Saudi who had memorized one-third of the Quran. He told me he had seen my videos and had really started thinking and wondering. He bought some of the books I had recommended.

This is a spark of enlightenment in the heart of one of the most fundamental places on Earth, from someone who will eventually grow up and will have a decision-making position in the society.

I get so many of these from young men and women in Pakistan as well. “Thank you, I was on my way to being a mullah (i.e. imam)”

If there’s one thing I know, it’s how to effectively talk to Muslims.

“I converted to Islam but because of you I was able to leave it”

You have seen my results, you know that together we can change the world, fight religious fundamentalism, counter the anti-science claims, and free people from the stranglehold of religious indoctrination.  Because you want to say thanks for the effort and time I have put into this project.  Because you know I will do it anyway, but you want to help me do more.

What do you spend the money on?

Monthly software fees, web hosting, hardware upgrades, and self-improvement material such as audible memberships.

If I reach my goals, I will be able to hire an editor and spend more time on original content creation and less time messing with technical stuff.

I also would love to do this fulltime.  To start some educational series for children and to do more creative work.

Here’s what will happen

Gradually, we will see that more and more Muslims will be questioning or skeptical about the claims of their religion. We will see less investment into halal meat shops, into mosques, into Islamic schools, into religious infrastructure.

Extremism will go down as well. People will be less likely to die for their religion if they aren’t sure if its true.
